@ Ashley and Mandi- Please email me within the next 48 hours so I can get details on shipping!!
Thank you to all of you that played along! I love to have giveaways so be sure to keep checking back for more!!
We have been working on measurement the past 2 weeks. It is always one of my favorite things to teach in math. The kiddos are up and moving….quietly working, and engaged! That in itself can make it a fave for me!! :)
First, let me just give you a little heads up. All the pictures that you are about to see have been instafied.
Last week was all about nonstandard measurement. We started things off pretty simple. Each kiddo had to find 3 items from their desk and put the items in order from shortest to longest.
Things started getting really stinky later on in the week when they took their shoes off!! Yep, the Scentsy was plugged in and working hard to get our room back to a pleasant aroma!! For the activity, the kiddos had to trace and measure their shoe with 3 different forms on nonstandard measurement.

Pretty sure I’d wear those sparkly cuties on the left.
Next up,…DREAM HOMES!!! The kiddos had to create their very own dream house. Only rules…they had to measure in nonstandard measurement, and show at least 10 measurements. I love the way these turned out! These girls, went all out on their homes! I mean, seriously, I’d definitely take them up on building me a house!!

To wrap things up with nonstandard measurement, the kiddos completed this little diddy with flip flops. You can click {here} to download it.
I just had to share this adorable canvas one of my dear teaching buddies made for me. It is one of my favorite verses. I just love it. It hangs in my room for a daily reminder… especially with the summer fever coming on strong!!

I will be back soon with more measurement freebies!!

  1. My kiddos will love this freebie you posted! What awesome colors. Congratulations on your anniversary!

  2. We just did nonstandard units of measurements too! They absolutely LOVE getting up and moving around. Of course, we measured each other with NS units. Your dream house activity is too cute! Thanks so much for the freebies!

    Three Cheers for First Grade!

  4. Yay! I'm so excited about winning. This will be great on my door. No more BANG BANG BANG when the door closes. We have to keep magnets on our door because our doors are locked constantly for security.

The non measuring activities are great too! I love having TX blogger friends who are teaching exactly what we are :) I'm using your freebie in centers next week. My kids LOVE to measure!

  7. Love the canvas...especially this time of year! It's SO easy to choose an "I'm annoyed" attitude. What a difference it makes when we choose JOY!!
